Berlin-based surf-psych-garage rockers ***Cactus for Breakfast*** are set to play Monarch on October 23rd for their biggest hometown headline show to date, marking the release of their new EP and kicking off their Germany tour.

Formed in 2023, the four-piece blends reverb-soaked surf guitars, raw garage energy and unpredictable grooves. Drawing inspiration from artists like King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Growlers and Allah-Las; the band has crafted a distinctive sound - nostalgic yet fresh, combining fuzzy riffs, catchy melodies and an infectious live presence.

After festival appearances across Germany and expanding their international reach, Cactus for Breakfast took in June 2026 the stage at SXSW London for a showcase curated by Huck Magazine. The magazine praised their performance as "a gleeful set of surfy guitar with blues, psychedelia and twang of the American deep-south" - highlighting their now-famous Cactus Dance. Now, they bring that energy back home to Berlin for a night of fuzzed-out grooves, classic tracks and brand-new music.

Support comes from Hamburg slacker-rock quintet ***wearemarvin***. Channeling the spirit of the early 2000s New York indie rock renaissance, their album *Don't Panic* took 14 years to complete. Overcoming changing lineups and endless setbacks, the record masterfully transforms existential dread into laid-back, resilient anthems about picking yourself up and simply keeping going.
