SCULPTING NIGHT IN LISBON

A live model. Clay in your hands. Three hours you will still be talking about next year.

Not a museum. Not another rooftop bar. One of the few nights in Lisbon where you actually make something.

You sit in a semi circle around the model. Wine is poured, the music starts, and Ella shows you how to look before you touch the clay. By the end you are holding a figure you sculpted yourself, and you take it home the same night.

FIRST TIME? The model is nude, the same as any life drawing studio. It stops feeling unusual about four minutes in. The room is candlelit, quiet and respectful, and Ella is beside you the whole way. Most people here have never touched clay before.
