Aliados is a Brazilian rock band formed in Santos, São Paulo. The band is composed of Fildzz(vocal), Dudu Golzi(guitar), Rafa Borba(drums) and Oliver Kivitz(bass). Originally emerging as Aliados 13, its members also included for two years the guitarist Thiago Castanho, a member of the fellow Santos band Charlie Brown Jr., which he returned to in April 2005.
History
It began its activities in 2000 when, based on friendship, Dudu (guitar) and Fildzz (vocal) wrote the first lyrics and chords without major pretensions. A few months later, the first rehearsal took place with Rafa (drums). The musicians felt the need for a bassist and invited their friend Oliver (bass). They decided to record their first demo with the production of Thiago Castanho, who at the time was away from Charlie Brown Jr. and joined Aliados.
In 2002, they signed with Abril Music and recorded the band's self-titled first CD, whose working track "Sem Sair do Lugar" was broadcast on major radio stations in Brazil and had its music video shown on MTV, Multishow, and other networks. At the beginning of the following year, the label closed its doors and interrupted the promotion. In addition to the label, the band also stopped counting on Thiago Castanho, who left to pursue other projects and is now back in Charlie Brown Jr.
The second CD (A Dose Certa) was released in 2004 by Art Mix with distribution by EMI, had "Sereia" as the main song, and was repeating the same success as the first album. Once again, success was interrupted, this time due to a serious accident suffered by Fildzz, who also discovered he had kidney cancer.
