Archivio Futuro is a Rome-based project formed by producer Lorenzo BITW, drummer and multi-instrumentalist Danilo Menna, and saxophonist Vittorio Gervasi. What began as an encounter between different musical trajectories gradually evolved into an open sonic laboratory where improvisation, electronics and acoustic instruments dissolve into a shared language. Debuting live at Triennale Milano in 2021, the project has since appeared at festivals and venues across Italy, including Beaches Brew, Fano Jazz by the Sea and Spring Attitude. True to its name, Archivio Futuro explores the tension between memory and anticipation: explosive, psychedelic drumming intersects with fractured samples, drifting sax lines and rhythms drawn from house and garage. Jazz impulses and prog-leaning textures emerge and disappear, sketching a constantly shifting landscape where genres blur and structures remain fluid. More than a band, Archivio Futuro operates as an open archive—each performance a new fragment of an unfinished future.
