Bekar, whose real name is Alexandre Becquart, born January 8, 1998, in Madrid, Spain, is a French rapper and singer originally from Roubaix in northern France. Bekar is one of the main representatives of French rap from northern France. He is a member of the Northface Records music collective and is signed to the Panenka Music label. The beginning of his solo career was marked by the release of his first project Boréal in March 2019. He then released a mixtape, Briques Rouges in 2020, followed by the EP Mira in 2021 and its sequel, the mixtape Mirasierra in 2022. In 2023, he released his first album, Plus fort que l'orage, re-released the following year under the title Plus fort. His track Magenta was certified gold single in January 2024. His two projects Mirasierra and Plus fort que l'orage were respectively certified gold records in August and September 2024. On June 27, 2025, he released his second album, consisting of 16 tracks, Alba ("dawn" in Spanish), in reference to his country of birth. This album features 3 collaborations: the 1st is Laponie with rapper Gradur, also from northern France. It also includes the track Hatem, featuring rapper Georgio, with whom he has collaborated several times. The 3rd is Saison with the young Franco-Swiss artist Yoa.
