BETO UÑA Papagayo Beach Club TENERIFE Almost three decades with eyes fixed on a dance floor and a mind scheming new projects for the spread of electronic music go a long way, enough to make him a pioneer of almost all aspects related to clubbing in the Canary Islands: ‘Oxígeno’, a radio show produced alongside Luís Groove; ‘Syncope Recordings’, one of the first house labels in the Canaries; ‘Angels in the Desert’, a self-production compiled by the prestigious Paris ‘Buddha Bar’, as well as a promoter of Canarian artists—for the first time—at the Miami Winter Conference and regular contributor to local and national press. His commitment to the avant-garde makes him a multifaceted creator. From his beginnings in the '90s as a resident of the legendary La Fabrika club to landing in the mythical Tenerife venue Metrópolis—where he would remain as a resident for nine years—his style is the reflection of a constant and determined evolution. His warm, deep, and sustained sets are his hallmarks and part of his DNA, offering quality electronics with the personal vision of a true clubbing connoisseur, which has led him to visit major DJ booths inside and outside our borders. Albéniz, La Real, and La Loka in Asturias, Fanzine, Telefunken, and House Café in A Coruña, Image in Bilbao, or The Egg—sharing the bill with Frankie Knuckles—and Brickhouse in London. He has also participated in major festivals such as Magma, alongside Kraftwerk; Eólica alongside Matthew Decay and John Aquaviva, or more recently warming up for Marco Carola at the Tenerife Auditorium.
