There are... well... more than five artists using this name, because, let's just face it--neither "Chris" nor "Murphy" is really all that uncommon a name. The first is the bassist/drummer/vocalist of the Canadian band Sloan. The second placed fourth on the 2006 season of Australian Idol, and was involved in Murphy's Lore (with his younger brother, Courtney Murphy). The third is a jazz saxophonist/organist whose website is http://www.chrismurphysax.com/. The fourth is an electric violinist - http://www.myspace.com/chrismurphymusic.
