There are at least three artists with this name: 1) cilia formed in Middletown, CT in 1995. In the early years cilia was primarily an improv unit, exploring the seams between electronic and live musical genres - playing house parties and alongside sound systems. After relocating to San Francisco, cilia continued its live improvisation mode but added songwriting and studio craft to its methods.
