Tension and release hasn't sounded this urgent for ages. From the blistering live opener of the electronic tinged 'Versus the sky' through the shoe-gaze influenced post rock of 'The Natural Colour of Wires' to the beats filled aggression of 'Intermission' as the close of an Episode live show, every moment is filled with passion. Punk Rock ethic meets intelligent atmospherics begins to explain the nature of what Episode are all about. The band has existed in various incarnations since 2004 with varying line up changes until today and the bands current incarnation as a five piece. 'We always had a vision of how we wanted the music to sound; pop melodies combined with a layered type of heaviness but it's only now that we're beginning to realise that sound' comments Chris who plays rhythm guitar and lead vocals in the band. Episode count their main influences as bands such as Radiohead, Nirvana, My Vitriol, Aereogramme and The Cure as well as electronic and Drum & Bass acts such as Squarepusher and Aphex Twin. Currently the band is recording and rehearsing material for a new EP - set to be a split with friends Take Aim (Also synth player Edd Legg's other band).
