About Francis Perrin, born October 10, 1947 in Versailles (Yvelines), is a French actor, screenwriter, and director.
A resident member of the Comédie-Française starting in 1972, he became known through classical repertory plays. In cinema, he became an in-demand young supporting actor, playing clumsy and endearing characters in La Gifle (1974), Le Chasseur de chez Maxim's (1976), and On a volé la cuisse de Jupiter (1980). He quickly became a comedic star by landing leading roles in hit films such as Le Roi des cons (1981), Tête à claques (1982), and Le Joli Cœur (1984).
