The new album by George Silver (aka André Neves) is a dialectical exercise around impulse and form; an attempt to channel the flow that precedes language and to stop, listen, and turn back under the commitment not to compromise it. A conversation with oneself about creating with the awareness that everything already seems to have been created, without losing the wonder of revelation. The ten tracks on the album (composed and recorded throughout 2021 under the Creation Grant from OUT.RA - Associação Cultural) traverse territories of transcultural beatific contemplation (as in "Jardim", a meditative encounter between Brazil, West Africa, and Southeast Asia), chill electronics for a restless sunset ("Insultório" or "Pessoas são ilhas"), or synthpunk (in "Bom petisco" we imagine, as if heard from across the river, a collaboration between Suicide and Scúru Fitchádu), ending placidly on a Parisian café terrace not necessarily of this century ("Última rodada"). Among transversal motifs that continually point to the music of a fourth world which is all civilizations and none in particular, Silver's being-in-the-world is revealed — everywhere and in every era where his music is imagined, inside the flow that precedes language, one knows everything yet knows nothing. .
