About

Originally from Languedoc, it was only natural for Joanda to choose occitan to compose and express his emotions. To do so, he blends contemporary instruments with traditional occitan instruments such as the hurdy-gurdy, the bodega (bagpipes from the Montagne Noire), the hammered dulcimer, flutes... In 2008, he decided to record the album Register. He went into the studio at l'Ostal in Béziers-Servian, at Polygone in Toulouse-Blagnac, and at Petit Boun in Cazères-St Michel. The album Register is a collaboration with Bruno Mylonas, recognized in the music industry for his recordings of artists such as Vanessa Paradis, Michel Berger, Marc Lavoine, and Yannick Noah. Joanda also participated in several working sessions as part of "Voix du Sud" led by Francis Cabrel. .
