1) Stylistically a blend of industrial, glitch and ambient electronic synthesis, Kobold is true industrial music. Hinging on the dark and surreal, Kobold creates an intense, organized sonic onslaught. Reflections on failed American policies, the human cost of war, inane victim mentality, and personal inadequacy come to fruition in audible form.
Kobold is Mike Heighway and Swante J., with occasional paranormal appearances by Potential Ghost.

2) It is hard to trace a clear beginning of Kobold. The meeting of the earliest band members, Kiep and Karpiu, can be considered as such. After changing bassists (Misiek, Łukasz), adding a second guitarist and finishing the search for a vocalist, the band entered the Wrocław stages in 2008 with the lineup: Karpiu, Stachu, Doktor, Kiepo and Maku - this is yet another beginning. A nearly two-year period of their performances ended with a change in the vocalist position: Sławek joined the band, which is, so far, the last of the band's beginnings :)
Kobold plays music inspired mainly by 80s heavy metal, best described as hard'n'heavy. There is room here for fast riffs, elaborate guitar solos and rock and roll compositions that renounce modern progressive influence.
