Kylie Jackson aka “kritical" is a Melbourne based TECHNO DJ influenced by the darker sounds of her years in London, UK. Born and “bread” in Adelaide, kritical developed her skill from countless hours behind the decks spinning vinyl in the Adelaide Hip Hop world, playing consistently across Adelaide - culminating in sets alongside heavyweights such as THE STREETS, THE BEATNUTS & ROC RAIDA and on festivals such as GROOVE ON NEW YEARS DAY (Ft Andy C, The Potbellies, Atmosphere & More). It was also here in Adelaide that kritical found her love of hard hitting electronic music in Adelaide’s burgeoning Drum & Bass scene. Moving to London at the age of 22, kritical discovered the darker sides of electronic music through the techno and industrial heavy fetish clubs of London’s underground, and across the festival circuit of nearby European cities and some of Berlin’s finest well known institutions. Arriving back in Melbourne & inspired by the city’s flourishing and vibrant parties and club events, kritical returned to her beloved decks with techno on the mind and heavy in the heart. Showcasing her European, dark & pulsating style, kritical kicked off late in 2018 at New Guernica’s kitchen and main room, along with some pulsating sets at off the grid parties. ✞
