Les Fils de Teuhpu

Les Fils de Teuhpu is a ska brass band originally from Paris. Alongside their ska roots, their music draws inspiration from jazz, dub, punk, and Gypsy music. Initially, the band's drummer, banjo player, and double bassist were touring with MC Relou when, during a jam session in Korn er pont (Brittany) with Tarace Boulba, they decided to play musical chairs. This game, modified for the occasion, helped select the best musicians present. Three of them won a spot in the upcoming band: a baritone saxophone, a trumpet, and a trombone. From this idea, Les Fils de Teuhpu was born, performing in venues ranging from large concert halls to small bars. In 2006, they composed a musical accompaniment for Buster Keaton's short film One Week, which they perform live during screenings.
