They had several U.K. Singles Chart top 10 hits, including the number one single "Everlasting Love", and seemed poised to become the next big thing in the pop world but sadly folded after not too long. 2) Love Affair were a Cleveland, Ohio based rock act who released their debut album in 1980. Love Affair was an American melodic rock band with Wayne Cukras, Mike Hudak, Rich Spina, Wes Coolbaugh and John Zdravecky from Cleveland, Ohio, that was formed as Stairway in 1974. The band changed its name to Love Affair in 1976. Because of a disagreement, its record label released the second album under the shortened name L.A. In 1983, the band changed its name again, this time to Unknown Stranger, before changing back to Love Affair in the very late days prior to splitting up in 1984. The band's self-titled 1980 debut album featured the regional hit single "Mama Sez". 3) Love Affair was a disco group that released a single "Heartquake" in 1979. .
