Noah Jones (born August 16, 2004) is a Colorado-born, Indiana-based electronic music producer and visual artist who is mainly known under his moniker MinimusNoah. The music under the MinimusNoah name usually has a slightly different sound depending on the release, but it usually gravitates towards downtempo music. He has been producing music since mid-2016 and releasing music under MinimusNoah since early 2018. As of Mid-2021, he has 1 full-length album, two mixtapes, and an EP under the MinimusNoah name; he has another EP in the works. In mid-2016 while messing around playing games, one of Noah's friends introduced him to a launchpad app for mobile devices. Noah took interest in this because, at that point, he was wanting to produce music but never had the means to. The first material from Noah was actually under the name Phazer765 instead of MinimusNoah. All of this early Phazer765 material only resides on SoundCloud, as the launchpad app had a function to export recordings directly to the platform. After creating two EPs under the Phazer765 name, Abstract and Terminal, Noah decided to take a break from making music. This break lasted until Indiana's snow-filled, cold winter of late 2017, where Noah took over the name of MinimusNoah and decided to create his first mixtape, Views. Inspired by records like Bath's Obsidian (2013) and Björk's Vulnicura (2015), as well as the outside's cold atmosphere, Noah made the project one of his darker efforts; with black and white visuals and bleak track names to match. However, Views isn't all dark and despondent, with it containing multiple life-affirming tracks and sounds.
