Nikki Clan is a Mexican rock band that originated in Nogales and Mexicali, in northern Mexico. In January of the year 2005, Alberto Espinoza, who used to be part of the independent group "The Meats" of Nogales, Sonora, contacts the producer Abelardo Vázquez to check their music; two months later, "The Meats" receive the invitation of the producer to integrate Yadira Gianola as the main vocalist, and it is thus how the band was born. In April of 2005 they begin to work together in the recording of some demos like "Mírame" and "Dímelo a mí". In July of the same year they present to Sony BMG the project which is accepted and two months later sign a discographic contract with this company for the recording of five albums. In November of the same year they began the recordings of their first album under the direction and production of Abelardo Vázquez (creator and producer of the group Reik) and Joe Marlett's co-production. In January of 2006 they finish their first discographic material called the same way as the band: Nikki Clan, which is a compilation of several covers in Spanish of songs originally interpreted in English. The first single of the album was "Mírame", which includes a video that began to be transmitted by MTV Latin America on March 22, 2006. They've opened for Panic! at the Disco. .
