Nolùen Le Buhé

Nolùen Le Buhé, born in 1972 in Locoal-Mendon (Morbihan), is a traditional Breton singer and a well-known figure in Breton dance song (Vannetaise, kan ha diskan) and listening song (gwerz). Coming from a musical family rooted in the Pays Vannetais, she "emigrated" to Haute-Cornouaille, which allowed her to open up to "another" Breton culture. Nolùen Le Buhé developed an ear and a musical background that enabled her to become one of the leading singers of the musical tradition in Brittany. Her deep knowledge of repertoires and her mastery of several very different traditional styles make her stand out among young singers, acting as a reference, a teacher, and a highly sought-after performer. She brings a feminine touch to this rather male-dominated musical universe, while also fusing it with other musical worlds.
