Guilherme Paz is more than a name behind the decks — it’s a mission: to sculpt moments that linger long after the music fades. For him, the booth is a place where time dissolves, leaving only rhythm, emotion, and collective energy. His roots are in percussion, a decade spent with sticks in hand and rhythm in his bones. That pulse never left him — it simply transformed. Countless nights on Lisbon’s dance floors, surrendering to the sounds of the world’s most inspiring artists, lit the spark that would guide him into DJing: a way to give back the same euphoria he once felt as a dancer. Driven by the urge to pass on those feelings, he taught himself the craft of DJing — blending the precision of a drummer with the sensibility of a devoted dancer. After relocating from Lisbon to Barcelona, he became a regular presence in the city’s emblematic clubs and bars, while founding his own collective, Boots & Cats, as a platform to channel community and sound. His sounds unfold as fluid, high-energy narratives — progressive at their core and at the point where house melts into trance. Basslines pulse, textures collide, and influences stretch from tech house and acid to electro and minimal. Recently, he’s been diving deep into vinyl, chasing the thrill of unearthing hidden gems and rare cuts that carry their own stories. Each record brings a sense of intention and intimacy — the crackle of the needle, the weight of the wax, and the joy of sharing something truly unique with the crowd.
