Viviane Audet is a multifaceted artist who is making her mark in the musical, television, and film landscapes.
After many years of classical piano lessons and three years of studying musical theatre, she won top honors at the Festival en Chanson de Petite-Vallée in 2003, as well as the Audience Award. In 2006, she arrived with her debut album as a singer-songwriter. The LP received a very warm welcome from both critics and the public. A true stage beast, the intensity of her performance, her sensitive melodies, and her charisma led her to present her songs across Quebec and also in France. She was immediately recognized for her writing—at times delicate, at times acerbic—that implants itself in the audience's heart like little arrows of the absolute. She would present the show stemming from her first album over a hundred times, everywhere in Quebec and also in Europe (Roseq, Déferlantes francophones de Cap-Breton, Boston's Francophonie Week, Réseau Scènes, the Cégeps tour, Toutes les filles, Coup de cœur francophone).
At the end of 2012, she received the endorsement of Musicaction for the production of her second album, scheduled for release in 2013. The production of this second opus was entrusted to the highly versatile and inspired Philippe Brault (Pierre Lapointe, Random Recipe, Ivy). Several collaborators participated in the creation of this album. To be continued.
Recently added to her musical project is film scoring. Alongside Robin-Joël Cool and in collaboration with Erik West-Millette, she created and performed the original music for Rafaël Ouellet's film Camion. In response to the enthusiasm for the music, she produced the film's soundtrack under the Angelica Bye Bye label.
