In a few words

Born in 1990, Sabīne Indriksone-Moore, known professionally as Waterflower, is a pioneering Latvian multimedia artist and eco-futurist musician. Emerging from the Rīga underground scene in 2006 under the name Kroffork, she was one of the first female solo electronic acts in Latvia to gain a following. She creates immersive avant-pop and digital hardcore that addresses the global ecological crisis. A signature of her live performances is the use of living plants and fungi as instruments. Using MIDI technology, she converts their electrical bio-signals into sound, effectively giving "a voice" to the natural world. With a Master's degree from the Art Academy of Latvia, Indriksone-Moore self-produces all her visual media, including award-nominated music videos and synchronized live animations. Her albums Balta gaisma (2020) and All Art Is Ecological (2023) earned nominations for the Zelta Mikrofons (Golden Microphone), the most prestigious honor in Latvian music. http://www.waterflower.lv .
