TROUBLEMAKERS & DAVID WALTERS at the Collection Lambert ✷ September 18, 2026
At the heart of one of Europe's finest contemporary art centers, Résonance invites the iconic Marseille trio Troublemakers and essential Afro-Caribbean music artist David Walters for a generous, borderless DJ set!
A concert in collaboration with the Collection Lambert.
── 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝗚𝐑𝐀𝐌 ✷ 𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦 (𝗱𝗷 𝘀𝗲𝘁) Marseille trio bringing together Lionel Corsini (DJ Oil), Fred Berthet (DJ Steef), and Arnaud Taillefer (NoLa) around a sound blending house, downtempo, trip-hop, and cinematic references. Their debut album, Doubts & Convictions (2001, Guidance Recordings), immediately laid the foundations for international recognition. The track "Get Misunderstood" became a staple on Radio Nova and France Culture, marking the band's place on the French touch map while standing out through a more organic and narrative songwriting style. After years dedicated to solo projects and a long hiatus, Doubts & Convictions returns in 2026 in a remastered 25th-anniversary edition, confirming the band's lasting imprint on the French electronic scene. Troublemakers are currently working on a new album expected in 2027. They will unveil the first pieces of it for Résonance on September 18, 2026.
✷ 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 (𝗱𝗷 𝘀𝗲𝘁) Backed by France Inter, Fip, Nova, and Gilles Peterson, David Walters has given birth to a striking repertoire infused with electronic beats and acoustic folk under Afro-Caribbean influences. After delivering his albums through fiery live performances, David Walters now tells his story through the music of others. With turntables acting as magnets and the axis of rotation for a multitude of styles and periods, David delivers a set reflecting his artistic journey. A rich, borderless story where curiosity is instinct. Generosity is a given. Surprise is an unmissable appointment.
