In a few words
Habibti Nation is turning 5. What started as a Balamii radio show in 2021 has grown into a platform for female, gender non-conforming and trans SWANA artists. From sold-out parties and festival stage takeovers to Glastonbury sets and DJ workshops for young people.
For our 5th birthday, we’re bringing the Habibti Nation family together in Hackney Wick to dance, connect and carve out our own space in the chaos.
Paydar joins us from Iran via Copenhagen for her UK debut with a high energy SWANA-infused global club sounds, alongside Palestinian powerhouse Hiba Salameh fusing Arabic traditions with futuristic electronic sounds, Anatolian-rooted club sounds from Özten and of course Habibti Nation mama LUMA. Plus, an open decks opportunity for one of our community to open the night.
Expect SWANA sounds colliding with UK and global club sounds. Mahraganat, dabke and raï meeting breaks, baile funk, UK funky and dembow. Arab club to the world.
Last entry 2am. Please arrive at the entry time stated on your ticket. All tickets include a £1 venue levy supporting the continued improvement and sustainability of Colour Factory.
