AKIRA (CH/AR)

AKIRA was born in Zurich and raised in a bilingual environment: his mother is from French-speaking Switzerland and his father from Buenos Aires. By the age of 13, he found his path in music. Influenced by Prince, Michael Jackson, and Chet Baker as much as by tango legends like Carlos Gardel and Facundo Cabral, he blends multiple languages and cultures in his songs to create a sonic universe all his own.

After spending three years with the cult label Live From Earth and five years as an independent artist, AKIRA now boasts over 120,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. He has notably collaborated with the Zurich jazz duo Okvsho as well as Berlin star DJ Southstar.

He is now presenting his new solo album, "Niños del Bosque", live on stage – an evening dedicated to musical warmth and cultural diversity.
