The story
**Alexandra Leaving** returns to headline RISE. Taking inspiration from a Leonard Cohen song, Alexandra Leaving’s music is anything but. Hailing from Shropshire, the now London based songwriter draws influence from PJ Harvey, Wolf Alice, Mitski and The Kills, carving her unique space in the indie rock arena.
**Candar** are a London-based duo Candar were formed when the two left North Devon and found a raw sound in dark, dingy, sweaty clubs. Candar's unique sound derives from soulful, melodic vocals floating over dirty riffs and messy grooves.
**Hot Wife** (Rachel, Ethan, Tijana and James) is a no-holds-barred alt-rock band from London, known for their raw energy, 90s influence and tongue-in-cheek lyricism. As overheard in the crowd at Loud Women Festival 2025; “They’re loud, but they’re good”. Think Smashing Pumpkins meets Bikini Kill, with a sprinkle of something else.
Formed in 2022, the band’s fierce, genre-blending style pulls from everything: grunge, punk, indie rock and hardcore - creating a high-octane vibe that’s impossible to ignore. With a new lineup and a new set-list, 2026 is hotting up.
