The story
Two brothers, one voice
Twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil, known as Amistat, have embarked on a remarkable musical journey that crosses borders, rooted in a unique bond that is both inexplicable and inseparable. Their captivating story is discovered above all through the power of their harmonies, nurtured by a rich blend of cultures. Born in Germany, with roots in the Czech Republic and Australia through their parents, Josef and Jan grew up in a true cultural whirlwind.
The Prasil brothers' early years took place in Italy, where they spent their childhood until high school. This period laid the foundations for their diverse musical influences, bringing a Mediterranean touch to their artistic universe. Their subsequent move to Australia further enriched their path, infusing them with Southern Hemisphere energy and broadening their horizons.
Ultimately, it was their return to their hometown of Rosenheim, Germany, in 2019 that marked a major turning point for the duo.
Following a landmark 2025 with over 30,000 tickets sold across Europe, the UK, and North America, the brothers return in 2026 with a new collection of tracks highlighting their artistic evolution. This autumn, Amistat is embarking on a major European tour, offering fans the chance to experience their new songs live. Alongside this tour, the duo will perform at several European festivals and play a series of concerts in Canada this summer.
Known for their unique harmonies and instinctive musical connection, they continue to captivate audiences worldwide. With every note, they turn the ordinary into an unforgettable moment.
