Antonio Faraò is one of Europe's most acclaimed jazz pianists and a leading voice in contemporary jazz. Praised by Herbie Hancock, he has collaborated with artists including Joe Lovano, Jack DeJohnette, Chris Potter, Miroslav Vitouš, Didier Lockwood, Benny Golson and Ivan Lins. Renowned for his virtuosity and expressive performances, Faraò combines technical brilliance with a distinctive compositional voice.
His international breakthrough came in 1998 when he won First Prize at the prestigious Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Competition in Paris. His acclaimed recordings include Black Inside and Thorn, while Eklektik highlights collaborations with Marcus Miller, Biréli Lagrène and Snoop Dogg.
A regular guest of Herbie Hancock at UNESCO's International Jazz Day celebrations, Faraò has also performed alongside Wayne Shorter, Branford Marsalis, Kurt Elling, Marcus Miller and Al Jarreau. Today, he continues to captivate audiences worldwide with performances that blend innovation, passion and exceptional artistry.
