An early activist and passionate music lover, Fred, aka Back From the Wave, devours the origins of various major electronic music currents: acid house, Detroit techno, house music, French Touch, as well as new wave, following bands like Depeche Mode or New Order.

In the late '90s, he buys synthesizers and starts composing.

Over the years, several multifaceted artistic and musical projects, carried out under different aliases, will lead to signings on renowned French and international labels (Scandium Records, label of André Dalcan and Paul Nazca, Goodlife, label of Oxia and The Hacker, Rotation, label of Dave Angel).

Since 2019, Back From the Wave has produced numerous EPs and remixes for other artists, ranging from electro to EBM, from New Beat to indie dance.

His music quickly attracts the favor of foreign labels such as Bordello A Parigi, Melodize, Roam Records, Factor City, Ombra International, as well as French ones like Ritmo Fatale, Mélopée Records, and more recently Space Factory, the label of talented David Carretta, legend and precursor of the electroclash movement in France with The Hacker and Kittin.

His tracks are played and appreciated by DJ Hell, Jennifer Cardini, The Hacker, Endrik Schroder, Captain Mustache, Alessandro Adriani, etc., as well as by the younger generation like Kendal, Bélaria, Mélanie Havens, or New Yorker Andi.

Alongside his production work, Back From the Wave regularly performs on stunning stages such as Cabaret Sauvage in Paris, Le Terminal in Lyon, Le Bikini, Rockstore, or Rachdingue in Spain...

His energetic sets reflect his productions, dedicated to the dancefloor and combining electro, EBM, indie dance, and Italo disco. His perseverance and well-regarded research make him an artist to watch closely.
