Basses Fréquences Live presents: Takuya Nakamura live & Melanin hybrid DJ set - Thursday, October 22 in Paris

For its first Basses Fréquences Live session, Basses Fréquences invites Takuya Nakamura to Main Room / Essaim, one of the benchmark venues of the Parisian electronic scene.

It's hard to put Takuya Nakamura into a single box. For over thirty years, the trumpeter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has navigated freely between jazz, electronic music, and club cultures. On stage, everything blends together: improvisation, machines, synths, and low frequencies. Living, hybrid music that is always in motion.

From New York to Tokyo, Takuya charts his own path and constantly pushes the boundaries between the organic and the electronic. Jazz meets electronic rhythms, ambient pads cross paths with basslines, and in the middle of it all, his trumpet opens up new spaces.

With Basses Fréquences Live, we slow down the tempo a bit. Here, we take our time. The time to discover an artist, enter their universe, and let yourself be carried away by more immersive formats designed to experience music differently than just on a dancefloor.

To inaugurate this new series of events, we find him in Paris for an exceptional performance, alongside Melanin and their hybrid DJ set.
