Their sound, guided by their indomitable exploratory spirit, exploits contrasts between extremity and subtlety. The trio’s singular, masterful sculpting of sonics into songcraft tucks layers of vulnerability into formidable storms. Latest album in grief or in hope - the first that sees longtime touring bassist Liam Andrews (MY DISCO, Aicher) joining guitarist/vocalist Robin Wattie and guitarist Mathieu Ball in the studio - is an innovative vision of electro-acoustic sound and emotive storytelling, an endless bounty of overwhelming distortions and devastating beauty.

Born and raised in London (England), HELM is an electronic musician known for his intuitive approach to sound design and immersive sonic landscapes. Taking elements from drone, noise, ambient, and industrial music, HELM creates dense, textured compositions that challenge the boundaries of conventional electronic music. His work explores the intersection of abstract sound and physical space, using both analogue and digital techniques to craft deeply atmospheric pieces. HELM has released critically acclaimed albums on labels like Dais, PAN, and his own imprint Alter, maintaining a consistent presence in the experimental music scene for over a decade.
