"Hi, we're Blood Red Shoes, a duo made up of Laura-Mary Carter (guitar and vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums and vocals). We've been around for over two decades, just the two of us, making records, touring the world, building our own little universe for ourselves and for anyone who wants to join us. We like to call ourselves a rock band because it means almost nothing at all, and it makes us laugh, partly because in reality we are indeed, without a doubt, a rock band.

In 2026, we are releasing our first new music in four years, which was entirely written, produced, and mixed by ourselves, which we're pretty proud of. We're heading back out on our first tour since our 20th-anniversary shows in 2024: we'll be travelling across the UK and Europe with a set packed with songs from all our albums, plus a whole bunch of brand-new tunes. The shows will be as loud as your country's laws will let us be."
