BLOWSOM
Arnaud Bernard, aka BLOWSOM, was raised on the Beatles, whom he listened to on repeat with his family in the car. At just 8 years old, he tuned his first guitar, but his teacher ended up in the slammer, and Arnaud ultimately taught himself. His passion became palpable at 18 when he decided to go study music in Brighton, England, to follow in the footsteps of a band he loves, The Kooks. While there, along with discovering music production software (DAW), Arnaud became BLOWSOM. Back then, it all happened on Soundcloud, where he shared his music, which was surprisingly geared toward electronic sounds. Despite interest from the media and a few labels, he naturally returned to a more pop style, tinged with rock, like the bands he was a fan of. Upon his return to France, Blowsom made a name for himself with a few tracks gathered into a first full-length release, "OK Romance!", in English. A critical success, he got a taste for it, and very quickly, the need to reconnect with his native language asserted itself. He then discovered a new breath of fresh air in French, and his tracks—which he began releasing in 2025—took on a whole new dimension, like his track "Les Passantes", which quickly reached a million streams. At the time entirely independent, Blowsom composed, produced, and mixed everything on his own. Without a tour manager, he announced a Parisian date at Point Éphémère, which sold out in 24 hours. Fueled by the enthusiasm of his community, he decided to think bigger and announced a concert at La Cigale, his biggest venue to date. He also set out to meet his audience with a first mini-tour in Lyon, Lille, and Brussels. Bolstered by this fresh start, he built a team around him, choosing Panenka Music and Zouave to accompany him for the rest of his career, notably for the release of his first French-language EP, "Les Passantes". Over rock-tinged indie pop and catchy melodies, Blowsom speaks candidly about his past relationships, the difficulties of falling in love again, and fragile hopes. He paints the portrait of a generation whose romantic patience seems to be fraying, where instant gratification seems to take precedence over commitment.
