Caprichos de Apolo presenta: Michelle David and The True-tones

**Michelle David** is an Amsterdam-based New Yorker who can be described as a force of nature when it comes to performing gospel, soul, and funk. Seasoned in the church and on Broadway stages, her career (in addition to having been a backing vocalist for Diana Ross and Michael Bolton, among others) boasts around twenty albums across various formations and projects (notably the four gospel volumes released between 2015 and 2020 entitled *The Gospel Sessions*), with her most recent works being released alongside Dutch backing band **The True-tones**. Together with them, she can be said to be at the recording zenith of her career, as shown by her last two LPs, “*Brothers & Sisters*” (2024) and “*Soul Woman*” (2026).
