The story
Singer-songwriter Carla de Coignac writes authentic songs in French, where every word aims to hit the mark. Born in Paris, she grew up between Cahors and Toulon in a family of music lovers. Writing became a refuge very early on: marked by the loss of her mother in her teens, she built an intimate body of work traversed by the themes of grief, love, and reconstruction.
Revealed to the general public during her participation in Nouvelle Star, she initially chose to stay in the shadows by writing for others, notably Louane and Mika. It was on social media that she later asserted her singularity with a song-rewriting concept, followed by hundreds of thousands of people. Her moving French version of Another Love became the track Peur de l’amour, accumulating over 3 streams and millions of views [Note: 'over 3 million streams'].
In 2025, she released her debut EP Confession, the musical extension of a deeply personal writing process. Several tracks were covered on the show Star Academy, confirming her growing resonance with the public.
On stage as in her lyrics, Carla de Coignac explores with raw honesty the contradictions of the heart: loving, doubting, breaking down, rising back up. Raw writing, carried by a voice that turns vulnerability into strength.
