Formed in 2004, the band spent eight years writing and releasing a solid body of original music, performing at iconic venues across the North of England and further afield, including The Roadhouse in Manchester, The Cockpit in Leeds, The Cavern Club in Liverpool, and The Bull & Gate and 221 Venue in London.

Following a hiatus from 2012, Codego reformed in early 2026 and with a renewed creative energy, marked their return with a sold-out hometown comeback show, signalling the start of an exciting new chapter.

With fresh new music on the horizon and renewed momentum behind them, Codego have retained the melodic and atmospheric identity that has always defined the band, while bringing an added darker, more mature edge to their sound — reflecting a group returning older, wiser and with something new to say.

Codego are currently preparing for the release of their forthcoming EP, ‘Mera’, due out in late 2026.
