The story
After years of travelling, performing and absorbing musical traditions from around the world, French musician Paul-Énéour Yvon and Chinese musician Jianan Hua crossed paths on the streets of Lisbon. Each arrived carrying landscapes, stories and influences gathered across thousands of kilometres — and through improvisation, they discovered a shared musical language beyond borders and words.
Together, they create music without a passport: compositions moving between China and Japan, West Africa, the Middle East, the Andes and the Mediterranean.
Paul-Énéour brings guitar and charango, shaped by his travels through South America, North Africa and beyond. Jianan Hua is a master of the ruan 阮, the ancient Chinese “moon guitar”, whose distinctive round body produces a rich and deeply expressive sound.
Born from the freedom and spontaneity of street performance, their project keeps that spirit of encounter alive. Each concert becomes a journey between cultures, traditions and two personal stories from opposite sides of the world.
Entry is free for Prisma members. Not a member yet? €5 membership available at the door.
And after the concert, the evening continues with an open acoustic jam — bring an instrument and join in.
