L’Igloo, in partnership with Baco Music, presents its reggae night featuring Danakil and Maxxo on Friday, December 4, 2026, at the Centre Culturel Jean Carmet in Mûrs-Érigné (49)!

DANAKIL 22 years of career. Tens of thousands of kilometers on the Tour Bus odometer that has taken them to the four corners of the globe. Starting from a teenage dream in the early 2000s, the collective played pass-the-hat gigs and the most underground pub venues. Very quickly, the chemistry worked, and DANAKIL found themselves in France's largest venues, headlining Zéniths and major European festivals, introducing their roots and conscious music to the widest audience. Often reduced to the label of a « reggae band », DANAKIL managed to break free from codes to deliver songs that, for some, have become « classics », spanning generations and accumulating millions of streams on current platforms. They have lost none of their simplicity, naturally creating a strong bond with their fans and audience at every concert, just like in the beginning.

MAXXO Maxxo has been active on the reggae scene for nearly twenty years! His mostly English-language reggae, featuring cleverly crafted productions, has won over the reggae audience and led him to work with numerous essential international artists, on stage and in the studio (Alpha Blondy, Aswad, Groundation, Capleton, Dub Inc, Sinsémilia, Max Romeo, Sly & Robbie…). Often compared to Gentleman, he draws his main inspiration from Jamaican roots reggae and dancehall. Winner of a Web Reggae Award for his debut album, he is also an advocate of self-production, controlling every step of his song creation with high quality standards and vibrant talent. After a period dedicated to producing for other artists and exploring other musical avenues, he returns to the forefront with brand-new reggae singles and renewed energy!
