DANCING IN THE DARK

A special evening for Bruce Springsteen's 77th birthday

On September 23, Bruce Springsteen turns 77. To celebrate the Boss's birthday, Dancing in the Dark—the show through which Fabrizio Coppola journeys in music and words through Springsteen's work—comes to Spazio Teatro 89 in Milan with a special date and three guests: Barbara Cavaleri, Georgeanne Kalweit, and Daniele Tenca.

An evening conceived as a journey through the songs, stories, and imagery of one of the artists who has most deeply chronicled contemporary America.

In a solo acoustic performance, between guitar, piano, and storytelling, Fabrizio Coppola retraces Springsteen's work by connecting music and narrative: the toil and hopes of the working class, the ashes of the American dream, long car rides and the boundless spaces of small-town life, the mysterious nature of love, social struggles and the search for a fairer society, all the way to rock'n'roll as a form of collective liberation and an instrument for change.

For the evening of September 23, the show will be enriched by the presence of Barbara Cavaleri, Georgeanne Kalweit, and Daniele Tenca, three voices and personalities from the Milanese music scene who will share the stage with Coppola to pay tribute to Springsteen on his birthday.
