The story
In an age where we live caught up in rush and distraction, From Body to Song is an invitation to return to the body and the living experience of the moment.
The evening begins with a Biodanza experience, led by Danielle Tavares. Music guides the movement and opens space for a dance born from feeling, with no steps to learn or forms to reproduce.
Then, movement gives way to song. Emanazul leads a ritual-concert of medicine music and mantras, where listening can gradually turn into voice. There are moments to listen and others to sing along, letting the music guide the experience.
From the dancing body to the singing body.
Danielle Tavares Psychologist and teacher-facilitator of Biodanza, Danielle Tavares discovered Biodanza as a child through her father, Alberto Tavares, one of the pioneers of the practice and a friend of its creator, Rolando Toro. Graduated in Psychology in 1995 and in Biodanza in 1998, she has been the director of the Rio de Janeiro Biodanza School since 2008. She also works in training facilitators in different countries across Europe and the Americas.
Emanazul Emanazul is a Brazilian medicine music and mantra duo formed by Nanala and Renato. Their music stems from a 14-year journey through shamanic and Buddhist traditions, intertwining ancestral knowledge with contemporary sounds and Brazilian popular music.
With over 5 million streams and 400,000 monthly listeners, the duo has performed on stages in Brazil, Mexico, and England, and in November joins Sam Garrett's Brazilian tour. They are currently releasing their album Oferenda and feature on “Ouro,” a track from Anitta's album EQUILIBRIVM.
