Escape with Romeo

The Cologne-based alternative and post-punk band Escape with Romeo has now existed for almost 37 years. But that is by no means a reason for nostalgia, as their 13th studio album "Night After Night" proves. While the LP "Suspicious Bliss", released in November 2024, was still the result of a musical rediscovery, the new work takes this step further. At a time when it is no longer about specific genres, but about emotional impact, the album, which will be released in the late summer of 2026, can be stylistically positioned between post-punk, electronics, trip hop, and post-rock. Escape with Romeo, meanwhile shrunk to a trio live, channel their idea of post-punk and dark wave here without falling into clichés.
