In a few words
Flora Hibberd’s songs resemble meticulously crafted tapestries. Drawing inspiration from rock and synth-pop as well as 17th-century folk songs, yet always rooted in indie-folk, her music is as mundane as it is cosmic, pulsing with surrealist allusions and raw emotions.
Her debut album, “Swirl,” earned her rave reviews last year, and the new “Mammoth” sounds like a promise fulfilled. Produced by The National's Ben Lanz, it’s weirder and bolder than the 2025 album, populated by ghosts of history and prehistory who roam the present and face the future head-on.
