The story
Super! presents feeble little horse on November 17, 2026 at La Bellevilloise
The band feeble little horse is thrilled to present their third album, bitknot. Written, arranged, produced, and recorded by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and Jake Kelley from their respective homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this album is a passionate exploration of the artificial space created between human nature and a culture of comfort. A synthesis of the physical and the digital, feeble little horse's bitknot invents a language allowing us to reconnect with interdependence, far from consumerist 'self-sufficiency' and materialism. 'The album artwork is inspired by the magnetic-core memory matrix used in early computers to store and access information using 0s and 1s. Each core, or "bit," is accessed by a network of wires, like a knot holding secrets and memories.' bitknot invites us to explore new ways of being through this network, entrusting us with the collaborative construction of these knots.
This negotiation with a constantly evolving hybrid reality is masterfully illustrated in the album's production: the lightness of Kinsler's arrangements offers a perfectly balanced surface tension to the depth of Slocum's meandering introspection. Their playful harmonies blend with syrupy melodies, walls of sound, a profusion of synthesizers and samples worthy of a supercharged car battery, all plunged into the ocean of their guitar-driven musical structure, paired with Kelley's surgically precise drumming. The result is a sonic chimera that seems just as likely to emerge from the early 2000s as from an unknown chromatic future.
