FIESTA NACIONAL MEXICANA - GRITO DE INDEPENDENCIA 2026

NAHUEL COLECTIVO PRESENTS: SHOUT OF INDEPENDENCE - MEXICAN NATIONAL FESTIVAL

Dear members of the Mexican community:

We are pleased to share with you that the celebration of the 216th anniversary of Mexico's Independence will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM, at the Mercado de Ajuda (Travessa da Boa-Hora, 1, Lisbon).

The event, open to the general public and coordinated by the cultural association Nahuel Colectivo, will feature the renowned marimba Mario Nandayapa, performing in Europe for the first time. There will also be folkloric dance, live music, and authentic Mexican gastronomy.

The Ambassador of Mexico to Portugal, Bruno Figueroa, will lead the traditional Grito de Independencia ceremony.
