In 2019, Thiago Presto escaped the dangerous favelas of Rio de Janeiro and emigrated to Leipzig. Five years later, in 2024, the German progressive, psychedelic groove rock band Godzilla In The Kitchen faced a crisis. Musicians Simon Ulm and Eric Patzschke lost their drummer and struggled to rebuild their trio. However, giving up was never an option for the band, which had already reached major milestones like performing at Wacken Open Air in 2022.

A chain of coincidences brought Thiago Presto behind the drum kit. He infused the band's groove rock with an explosive dose of power and traditional Maracatu rhythms.

This lineup change completely transformed their sound. Moving away from purely instrumental music, Simon Ulm took over vocal duties to address contemporary world events and deep emotions. What was once an instrumental rock group has now evolved into a powerful alternative metal machine with poignant lyrics. Their new sonic identity is fully realized in their upcoming third album, Termination Sequence.

Termination Sequence will be released on October 23, 2026, in cooperation with Tonzonen Records. You can experience the trio live on their "Termination Sequence" Release Tour 2026. Joining them as support are their stoner metal brothers from Mudfinger, ready to fire up the crowd with heavy riffs and driving drums.
