GUADAL TEJAZ Release Party "Megalostrata" + YAR

Guadal Tejaz is above all a story of friendship.

From the Levitation Angers parking lot to Rennes rock nights, the desire to make music together gave birth to the band in 2015.

Over these 11 years, an EP and 3 albums have seen the light of day, allowing the band to defend its psychedelic post-punk universe across the four corners of France. Great encounters took place, notably the Binic Folk Blues Festival with whom a strong relationship has been built over the years. Key dates such as opening for Ty Segall at La Cigale, a noticed appearance at the Transmusicales, and a tour with OSEES have allowed Guadal Tejaz to make a name for themselves.

After the tour for the album Noche Triste and the departure of one of its members in late 2023, the now trio took the time to evolve their recipe, spicier than ever.

On this latest, more urban album, pride of place is given to electronic instruments, while keeping the foundation that made their music: repetitive rock with new disco-punk accents that draws inspiration as much from the club spirit of the Haçienda as from the humid atmosphere of CBGB.

A new way of working in the studio was approached. Drum machines, samples, and modular synthesizers blend with guitar, bass, and drums to form an organic mix, all accompanied by vocals as haunted as ever.
