The leftfield indie label tag team of fierce panda and Hideous Mink reunite for another reckless night of casually endorsed cool-headed excellence. August brings us DILETTANTE from the delights of Northern England, an art-rock collective led by multi-instrumentalist Francesca Pidgeon whose sonic buggy veers from Bush (Kate) to Bernstein (Leonard) and Bear (Grizzly). Leeds-based foursome GIBBERISH come influenced by the vast and creative alternative rock scene through the years, mixing driving guitar tones with melodic lead lines and introspective lyrics to create: gibberish. Openers TINY VESSELS clamber in from Cambridge with a name filched from a Death Cab For Cutie classique and a suitably guitar-redolent indie rock sound which captures the energetic, optimistic spirit of the likes of The Maccabees and Bloc Party
