The alt.rocking record company dream team of fierce panda and Hideous Mink get their dancing boots on yet again to proffer a night of hectic leftfield jabberings and - yes - crispy chattings. September brings us the impossibly bouyant BAG OF CANS (onstage 9.50pm) from Norwich, armed with songs about drinking and sobering up...and drinking again. They release their supercharged updated version of 'Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps 2' on September 9.
South East London "wonk rockers" THE HOME SERVICE (onstage 9.05pm) continue the perfectly eccentric English theme, delivering pristine Britpop with all the destructive abandon of beloved American alt.artists such as Pavement and Dinosaur Jr.
Indiesoul maestro ALBERT GOLD (onstage 8.20pm) rides the raffish rapids down from Hackney Village with glittering grooves and melodic panache a'plenty.
Opening up the show (at 7.45pm) we have a deep Crispy Conversation as fierce panda head honcho Simon Williams makes himself comfortable onstage to be quizzed about his literary opus, 'Up The Packet: One Man's Crisp Odyssey', by Jed from Hideous Mink Records. Think all of your fave potato snacks and rock'n'roll and a pouch of panda puns smashed together in one great big wordy salad.
