Hoodoo Gurus en Madrid

Hoodoo Gurus occupy a unique place in Australian —and international— rock’n’roll history. Formed in Sydney in 1981 by members of seminal 1970s Australian punk bands such as The Victims and Fun Things, the Gurus fused the raw edge of garage rock with pop instinct, sharp songwriting and an unyielding love for classic rock’n’roll. Their sound —nourished by 1960s and 1970s influences, yet unmistakably their own— placed them at the forefront of the global alternative rock, garage rock and power pop movement of the mid-1980s.

Inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007, the Gurus remain revered and fully relevant veterans of Australian rock. With sold-out tours, a catalog full of radio classics and a legacy that spans continents and generations, Hoodoo Gurus are one of the most enduring and beloved musical acts Australia has ever produced.
