In an era dominated by playlist formulas, HOSS (master of percussion) and SWET (architect of scratch) present 1987, not just a musical project based in Barcelona but a sound ritual where the drum skin merges with the turntable needle, building a genuine, exclusive, new, and pure sound. A physical as well as atmospheric experience featuring influences as diverse as Dilla, Madlib, Chris Dave, or Georgia Anne Muldrow.

After their first instrumental single "Tortilla Camarone", they release their Focus Track "Ocho Barras", a monumental cypher over a dense and elegant beat that stands out as the only collaborative track where twelve MCs — Lil Supa, Crimeapple, Dano, Zé Pequeña, Ill Pekeño, Kuma, Jonás Sanche, Casta Diva, Solo K.OS, Sick Jacken, Faenna, and Mir Nicolás — deliver fire with no hooks or compromises, turning all the spotlights onto this purely instrumental album.
